How do I assign a Middle Level content standard to a 9th grader?
Why should/would a student in High School need more than 24 Content Standards to Graduate?
Is there a way to print High School Progress Reports in batches?
Explanation:
The probable reason nothing happens when you click on the tab labeled 'Configure ILP' is that no related record yet exists for this student.
Why would this happen?
- Records are related on the student's State ID Number. If the number is changed in one place, it needs to be changed in ALL related databases.
- The record creation process was interrupted for some reason.
- The ILP record was previously deleted.
To resolve the issue:
- Perform a find for 'Brian Calhoun'. MAKE SURE that you have ONE (1) found record for the student before going to step 2!!!!
- Click on the FileMaker Menu, 'Window' and select 'Indiv Learning Plans.FP5'
- On the ILP Detail screen, click the button labeled 'Process'
- From the Process Menu for ILPs, click the button labeled 'Create ILP from GSSec'.
- Repeat steps 1 through 4 for any other student records with the same issue.
I need to know how to enter the scores for Prep. Standards completed last year by this year's ninth graders! The screen for middle level shows only this year's 6-8 graders.
This year's 9th grade was in the Middle Preparatory Profile Level last year! Now they're in the High School Profile Level. High School is defined as grades 9 through 12.
ref. High School Graduation Standards Manual on Local Record Keeping, Interdistrict & State Reporting
Tools For Schools does not currently facilitate this request because students that are in 9th grade and later are supposed to be busy working on High School Content Standards, not Preparatory Content Standards.
Why should/would a student in High School need more than 24 Content Standards to Graduate?
The district can always require more than the state requires. Some districts already require more than 24 High School Content Standards.
Related Question: Is there a software requirement to store and report information on more than 24 High School Level Content Standards per student?
NO - DISTRICTS CAN USE A PAPER RECORDKEEPING SYSTEM. BUT THEY MUST KEEP TRACK OF ALL INFORMATION IN THE "BLUE BOOK".
STUDENTS AT THE PRIMARY, INTERMEDIATE AND MIDDLE LEVEL ARE TO HAVE A RECORD OF THEIR ACHIEVEMENT OF ALL STANDARDS AT EACH LEVEL.
AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL, THE DISTRICT CAN SET A MINIMUM TO AS LOW AS 12. THE DISTRICT CAN ALSO SET THE MAXIMUM, AND THIS NUMBER IS UNBOUNDED FOR DISTRICT DEFINITION BY STATE STATUTE. IF USING THE STATE DEFINITION, THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL STUDENT WILL COMPLETE 21 REQUIREMENTS AND 3 ELECTIVES FOR A TOTAL OF 24 CONTENT STANDARDS.
How do I restore TFS, following an incident with my server?
Steps to Follow:
Macintosh Server: Quit FileMaker Server Windows Server: Stop FileMaker Server Service
Validate the Date-Time Stamp on your TFS Daily Backup FILES to make sure the data is actually current!!!
Discard the files in the TFS FY XX-XX folder located in the FileMaker Server folder
Copy the files from the TFS Daily Backup folder into the now empty TFS FY XX-XX folder (located inside of the FileMaker Server folder)
Macintosh Server: Start FileMaker Server Windows Server: Start FileMaker Server Service
Inform all users that the system is back online and you have earned the rest of the day off.
Go have fun elsewhere :-)
Is there a way to print High School Progress Reports in batches?
High School Progress Reports are preset to 'Print Current Record' in your printer configuration. To override this function, you will need to change the setting to 'Print Records Being Browsed'. As an example, this change would facilitate printing reports for students by an entire grade level. FileMaker will 'remember' your setting so be sure to always check ALL of the print settings prior to committing a print job!!!
