Bare Bones Software ...Got Mac?

 TextWrangler2

If you're having trouble uploading your data files to MDE from your Mac, please note: Tools For Techies is NOT the problem!  And if you don't have a Mac, too bad - You'll just need to suffer through uploading your data without tweaking it first, because this download is for Macs ONLY!

A big THANK YOU goes out to Craig Johnson of Mesabi East, Beth Degnan of Hibbing and Mary Bridge of Cromwell-Wright for their efforts to resolve MARSS Web Edit upload problems.  Craig discovered that TextWrangler was able to reformat Mac files in DOS format and successfully upload data to the MARSS Web Edit Site.

    TextWrangler 2.2 System Requirements

  • Mac OS X 10.4 or later
  • Universal Binary (for PowerPC and Intel processors)

TFTech v7.0 Tools For Techies v7.0 (for EOY '06 & FALL '07)

ARCC staff here at Region II has been using Tools For Techies (TFTech) to process MARSS data since 1999.  Region V has been using it since 2001.  TFTech requires FileMaker v5.x or later.

Can be used to aggregate and manipulate/prepare End-of-Year and Fall MARSS data for any Minnesota school district.  Initially, ARCC had the product certified by the Minnesota Dept of Education (MDE) for MARSS Reporting.  ARCC no longer participates in MDE software certification for this product.  Although we keep it up-to-date for processing data, there is no longer any time put into updating documentation.

This version supports a new file format with an added field for Special Ed Service Hours
